TEST ADVANCES IN TELECOMMUNICATIONS NETWORK FOR HEARING-IMPAIRED

ARLINGTON, Va., June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- A semiautomated telecommunications network that will permit hearing- and speech-impaired people to talk more effectively over telephone lines with non-hearing-impaired people will be jointly tested beginning in early 1990 by Telecommunications Exchange for the Deaf Inc. (TEDI), Bell Atlantic (NYSE: BEL) and Bellcore.
