Hughes & Kettner zenTera
It seems that every amp company under the virtual sun has a digital-modeling amp these days, but Hughes & Kettner--primarily known for high-end tube amps and tube-driven effects--took their time before introducing the software-based zenTera ($3,499). The time was well spent. This excellent sounding, 2x12 combo serves up 11 amp models, 36 effects (up to four at a time), and two 100-watt power amps in a smart-looking, 65 lb package.
