Liaoning Liaoyang is constructing the biggest petroleum, chemical & chemical fiber production and processing base in the north of China. Mayor Sun Yuanliang says that "we will accelerate the readjustment of the product structure and the construction of major projects and attain the target within 5 years." Liaoyang is a new city of petrochemical industry, light industry and textile industry. The gross domestic product was 17.2 billion yuan last year.
