NATURAL GAS SUPPLY AND COSTS featured prominently at the National Petrochemical and Refiners Association annual International Petrochemical meeting, held last week in San Antonio, TX.
Dow Chemical CEO Michael Parker in his keynote address called on industry to press the federal government for a "sustainable energy policy" that would lessen the nation's reliance on natural gas. "Reliable and affordable energy is our lifeblood and an important element of our long-term competitiveness," says Parker. "Our industry converts $20 billion in energy inputs to $200 billion of products."
