More than 60 student winners, from kindergartners to high school seniors, were honored today during an awards ceremony for the 3rd Annual Green LA Student Poster and Multimedia Contest, sponsored by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the Los Angeles Unified School District.
Nearly 500 students, representing 80 public, private and parochial schools in the city of Los Angeles, submitted artwork depicting energy efficiency, green power, electric transportation or recycling for the chance to win U.S. Savings Bonds ranging from $250 to $2,000.
