On this first Veterans Day of a new millennium, it is fitting to return to that old-fashioned tradition of remembering and honoring veterans--the people who served their country. Better yet, all curriculums from pre-kindergarten through grad school should include mandatory courses on patriotism. Everyone should learn about the sacrifices made by those who fought in the defense of our country, and then realize just what "freedom" means. (I know, fat chance of that happening in this "who cares?" world we live in. But, amazingly, it would only cost a dollar!)
