SANFORD, Fla., May 3 /PRNewswire/ --
Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) announced today that American Trans Air (ATA) will begin flying into SFB on June 29, 2001. The flights are part of a large program operated on behalf of United Kingdom (UK) tour operator, Travel City Direct. The program will operate using ATA's 362-seat L1011-100 aircraft, with a schedule of nine flights per week, and bring an additional 110,000 passengers through the airport. Originating cities in the UK are: London, Manchester, Belfast, Edinburgh and Prestwick. The flights will continue until November 12, 2001, and then pause until resuming again June 2002.
