Although granular cell tumors have a wide anatomic distribution, with roughly one half of the lesions found in the head and neck,[1] to our knowledge the literature contains only one previously reported case of granular cell tumor of the thyroid, that being in a girl receiving high-dose estrogen therapy for tall stature.[2] We describe a second case of granular cell tumor of the thyroid.
