2002 Cruises From Seattle Announced; United Way Fundraising Auction Scheduled

In conjunction with a Seattle visit by its luxury cruise ship ms Ryndam, Holland America Line-Westours Inc. announces that the company and its passengers contributed $139 million in economic impact to its headquarters city last year.

Holland America also announced it will offer spring cruises from Seattle in 2002, beginning a regular series of cruises from the company's home city. Holland America Line has been headquartered in Seattle since 1983. Prior to that time, its subsidiary company, Westours, made the city its home from 1951.
