May 4--These shoes are made for walking.
Orange and black with fluorescent green laces, bowling shoes are at the center of a fashion footwear fad that has them disappearing right and left from local alleys.
"If you see this clown with these shoes on, call the police," quipped Tom Shimek, manager of Gold Cup Bowling Center on Pio Nono Avenue in south Macon. "I have no idea why people want them."
