GIESSWEIN IS READY TO TAKE ON THE U.S.
NEW YORK -- Giesswein, an Austrian sportwear company, is making its first major push in this country. The firm has formed a U.S. arm -- Giesswein, Inc., -- and is represented exclusively by Gisela Schwartze, national sales manager. Schwartze is also vice president and U.S. sales director for Salko of Salzburg, an Austrian coat manufacturer.

Giesswein's first U.S. line consists of boiled-wool jackets, wool jersey skirts, wool sweaters and cotton blouses. It features traditional Tyrolean styling -- not unlike the Salko loden coats, which have been in the U.S. ...
