BAYSIDE - The memory of George and Louise Lyon will forever live on in the hearts of Virginia Beach's Ocean Park residents.
And now a large bronze plaque will serve as a constant reminder of how important their lives were to the small community.
``What George and Louise started was a living legacy for all of us that call not only Ocean Park, but also Virginia Beach, our home,'' Mayor Meyera Oberndorf said.
Oberndorf was just one of about 100 people who attended the memorial dedication April 21 at the Ocean Park Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad on Shore Drive.
