FCC lowers RF threshold to 9 kHz WASHINGTON, DC--The Federal Communications Commission's redefinition last April of the RF spectrum to include the frequency range between 9 and 10 kHz and its establishment of new testing procedures will very likely affect electronic-system design on a broad scale.

Television-receiver makers have 10 years to comply with the new regulations; all other RF-system manufacturers have five.
