In order to support development of small enterprises, the state owned bank, Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), plans to carry out a program to distribute small business credits (KUK).
The program aimed at boosting rural economy, includes the programs of small business and cooperatives delopment (PUKK), farmers' and fishermen's income development (P4K), food resilience credit (KKP), Cooperative members credits (KKPA) and rural general credit (Kupedes).
BRI has extended PUKK since 1994. The program is financed with fund, which the bank sets aside 1%-5% of its profit based on a decision of the finance minister No. 316 in 1994 issued on June 24 that year requiring ...
