AGING DEPARTMENT SAYS PROTECTIVE SERVICES LAW IS WORKING
HARRISBURG, Pa., July 12 /PRNewswire/ - Secretary of Aging Linda M. Rhodes said today the recent arrest of two nursing home employees in State College for alleged patient abuse demonstrates Pennsylvania's new protective services law is working to protect older people.
"The arrests are the first involving alleged abuse in an institution, which resulted from investigations required under the Older Adults Protective Services Act of 1988," Rhodes said.
