His September stint sets a precedent for the three-year-old magazine, but not for founder/editor-in-chief Bob Guccione, Jr., who employed Spike Lee at Spin in 1991. "I do this only for special occasions," Guccione tells min. "And our third anniversary [in September] is special. It's a sign of our growing up, and so is the Late, Late Show with Craig. Late, Late Show viewers match Gear's 'upper 20s male' profile, so the fit with Craig and us is perfect."
