Boston Modern Orchestra Project performs Tod Machover's "Hyperstring Trilogy," at the Tsai Performance Center, Sunday night.
"Matt?" called composer and MIT Media Lab mogul Tod Machover from the back of the Tsai Performance Center auditorium Sunday night. "Matt!" he repeated more sharply, finally getting the attention of cellist Matt Haimovitz, who, onstage, was several minutes into performing Machover's "Begin Again Again." Haimovitz finally got the message that Machover wanted him to stop.
