May 8--A former air traffic controller at Detroit Metropolitan Airport says she was driven from her job because of the racially hostile environment in the control tower.
Barbara Wright of Oak Park claims in a lawsuit she was denied training given to white employees. Wright, who is black, filed the suit in U.S. District Court in Detroit last week against Norman Mineta, secretary of the U.S. Department of Transporation.
