The Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) received the prominent Clair A. Hill Award today at the Association of California Water Agencies semi-annual conference. EMWD won the prestigious award for its Wetlands Water Education Program.
The program began when EMWD moved one of its original buildings to its wetlands site. Prior to the building relocation, several classes had to be cancelled due to inclement weather conditions. Once moved, EMWD transformed the building into a teaching and research facility. It accommodates special education students as well ...
