BRISBANE - Australia's second largest mobile phone carrier Vodafone Pacific has made a $A200 million ($US103.1 million) bid for a minority shareholder.

UK-based Vodafone Group Plc will control 95.5 per cent of its local arm if the $A4.05 ($US2.09) per share bid for Philip Cornish's Mobile Communications Holdings (MBC) (ASX:MBC) is successful.
