Symphony Hall has witnessed many great musical moments in its first decade, but few can have been more entertaining than those provided by American singer Kim Criswell.
No one who was there is ever likely to forget Criswell and Sir Simon Rattle busking their way through the plot of Bernstein's Wonderful Town, complete with the famous conga danced round the auditorium. And then there was that wonderful Gershwin centenary concert with Wayne Marshall and Birmingham Contemporary Music Group in 1998.
