GREAT LAKES CHEMICAL CORPORATION REPORTS RESULTS
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind., July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Great Lakes Chemical Corporation (NYSE: GLK), leading producer of bromines and furfural specialty chemicals, today reported record sales and earnings for both the second quarter and for the first six months of 1989.
Net income for the 1989 second quarter rose to a record $31,231,000, or $1.79 per share, a 24 percent increase versus the $25,022,000, or $1.44 per share, posted in the same period of the previous year.
