La Salsa, Inc., a subsidiary of Santa Barbara Restaurant Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBRG), has acquired two restaurants previously operated by California Fresh, Inc. and is converting them into the popular La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill concept, announced Ted Abajian, president and chief executive officer of SBRG. The first restaurant located in the Rolling Hills Estates community of Los Angeles County was recently converted to a La Salsa while the second in Rancho Santa Margarita in Orange County is expected to be operating as a La Salsa by late May, 2001.
