FRUITFUL IDEAS While fruit has been a culinary treasure for centuries, a slightly different approach to preparing fruit increases menu interest and value.
For desserts, fruit is as elegant served solo as it is combined with other foods. Simply dressed fresh fruit, such as berries served with sweetened whipped cream, holds its own on the dessert cart next to rich chocolate confections. Fresh apples, melons or citrus sliced and arranged in an unusual way heightens fruit's perceived value even more.
