Editor's note: Bill Page writes a weekly column on the editorial page for Tri-Cities. The regional superintendent of schools invited Bill to tour to St. Charles East this week.
Since the beginning of April, all of my columns have been devoted to the ongoing crisis at St. Charles East High School.
Throughout that time I have staunchly maintained that the problems with mold and what-have-you were greatly overblown, that the conditions at the school were not so bad or unsafe as to warrant closing the entire campus.
I felt confident that whatever problems there were could be taken care of quickly, and school could open on ...
