Pianist Gen Hall held court around the grand piano at T.K. Nick's in Golden Valley every Friday and Saturday for six years. When the restaurant was sold in 1997, it seemed the end of an era for the pianist and singers who had followed her for more than 20 years.
Hall landed other gigs, but the truth was as plain as notes in the C-scale: The golden era of piano bars was winding down.
