Age is not a factor for the 20 members of Grace Lutheran Church in Glen Ellyn who are planning to extend a helping hand to those in need this summer.
Whether 12 years old or a grandmother, they will pick up their hammers and saws and spend the two-week period from June 13 to 22 helping to improve the Lutheran church in Costa Rica.
"We will be doing repairs and paintings on the church," said Paula Ortmann, media contact person for the event. "We will also be building new pews for the church."
