NicOx S.A. (Nouveau Marche: NICOX) announced that a topical formulation of NCX 1022 showed promising results in a Phase I clinical dermatology study evaluating local skin vasoconstriction, (a human skin blanching assay approved by the FDA). NCX 1022 is a nitric oxide-releasing derivative of the steroid, hydrocortisone, in development for the treatment of psoriasis which is a chronic skin condition in which scaly pink patches form on the elbows, knees, scalp, and other parts of the body.
