The space and missile defense scenarios in the recent Army Transformation Wargame validated the need for U.S. coalition partners to be equipped with adequate homeland missile defense systems, Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) officials reported.
During the game, the enemy in 2015 had access to missiles with a range of 4,000 kilometers able to hit targets as far away as London, Col. Glen Collins, director of the SMDC Force Development and Integration Center, told Defense Daily in a May 7 telephone interview. And, attacks on Germany, Spain and Italy were carried out by the enemy, he noted.
