Last week at a glittering awards ceremony, Ann McCrea won the prestigious title of Northern Ireland Nurse of the Year 2001.
The Irvinestown health visitor won the award for her pioneering work in setting up the first Breast Milk Bank in Ireland, designed to provide breast milk for vulnerable babies in hospitals throughout the Province.
Her own memories of milk banks stretch back to her childhood in Kent in the 1950's.
"My mother was a breast milk donator for the local hospital, so I guess I just grew up with the idea.'' ...
