ALLERGAN REPORTS SECOND-QUARTER OPERATING RESULTS
IRVINE, Calif., July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Allergan, Inc. (NYSE: AGN) announced today operating results for the second quarter and the first six months of 1989.
For the three months ended June 30, 1989, net sales were $210.4 million, an increase of 14 percent over the same period in 1988. Operating income increased 15 percent to $33.8 million. Net earnings were $23.5 million, an increase of 7 percent.
For the first six months of 1989, Allergan recorded net sales of $389.0 million, up 11 percent from the prior year. Operating income increased 17 percent to $57.5 million. Net earnings were ...
