If you're like the average Joe, you sprinkle snail bait outside, see a clutch of dead snails the next morning, and think, "Gee, this stuff really works."
But then in a week or two, you go out again and wonder what's eating your plants. It could be those snails you "killed."
It is not a good idea during the snail season to let the one-footed creatures get the upper hand. Mild spring weather and time alone is all they need to multiply.
