MITSUBISHI REFINES '98'S.(1998 INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW)

LOS ANGELES -- Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America had a huge rollout of new and revised vehicles last year, so there are few changes to the 1998 model line.

The "Built for Living" marketing campaign will continue.

Here are the changes for the 1998 model lineup:

MIRAGE

-- The heavy-duty starter and battery are new.

-- The 1.8-liter engine receives automatic valve lash adjusters for smoother operation.

ECLIPSE

-- Seat bolster fabric is new.

-- The gray interior package has a black instrument panel.

-- Such options as a CD player and air conditioning are now standard on mid-grade models.
