OAKLAND_Things are going so well for the A's these days that even Gil Heredia is pitching well again.
Heredia, who entered Friday's game against the Chicago White Sox with the second-highest ERA among major-league pitchers with 30 or more innings (8.92), joined the A's feel-good homestand with his best outing of the season. He pitched six innings and allowed just one earned run to lead Oakland to a 3-2 victory in front of 16,823 at Network Associates Coliseum.
Heredia, who had allowed six earned runs or more in four of his previous seven starts before Friday, lowered his ERA over a full run to 7.84.
