Malacanang favored yesterday a proposal to hold the impending trial of former President Estrada on plunder charges in an auditorium room inside the Veterans Medical Memorial Hospital (VMMH) in Quezon City.
In a press briefing, presidential spokesman Rigoberto Tiglao said the government does not have any objection to convert the VMMH auditorium into a special court room for Estrada's trial for reasons of "security and convenience."
"This will do away with the need to move the former president from one place to another," he said in the vernacular.
