After months of negotiating followed by filing a lawsuit, the Bensenville Park District and the village have now settled their differences over which entity has the right to run part of the Redmond Recreational Complex.
The agreement, reached earlier this week and approved by the park board Wednesday, avoids what could have become a costly legal battle for both sides and continued friction between the park district and the village.
The park district will now drop a suit it filed in March and its recreational rights at Redmond Park.
