Ever since liquid silicone rubber came on the scene in the 1970s, suppliers of LSR continually tried to sell its benefits over more standard silicone grades despite higher material and tooling costs.
That again was the case during a presentation by Jeannie Holmes, a silicone rubber technical service specialist at Dow Corning Corp., who talked on the subject at the International Silicone Conference, held May 15-16 in Fairlawn, Ohio.
