NEW YORK -- American Eagle Oufitters is spreading its wings north for its next expansion push, with its first Canadian store scheduled to open Thursday in Hamilton, Ontario.
The teen retail chain will open 46 American Eagle Oufitters stores in Canada within the next three months, marking its first move outside the U.S. American Eagle operates 563 units in the U.S. The company said Tuesday the stores are located in major shopping areas, with a flagship slated for Toronto's Eaton Center.
All of the Canadian stores are converted Braemer units, a chain of women's ready-to-wear stores that American Eagle purchased from Dylex Ltd. late last year. American ...
