MAY is the month many hay fever sufferers dread. It has the highest pollen counts in the calendar, bringing bouts of misery.
Hay fever is caused by an allergy to ordinary pollen given off by flowers, grasses, trees, moulds and fungi and is a problem for one fifth of people in the UK.
