MAY is the month many hay fever sufferers dread. It has the highest pollen counts in the calendar, bringing bouts of misery.

Hay fever is caused by an allergy to ordinary pollen given off by flowers, grasses, trees, moulds and fungi and is a problem for one fifth of people in the UK. Hay fever varies from a mild attack to a crippling condition that lasts the whole of the pollen season. Today Miriam explains what you can do to relieve the misery.
