- Boralex Inc. (TSE, BLX .A) announces that it has reached an agreement with Alternative Energy, Inc., (AEI) of Bangor, Maine, to purchase two thermal power stations totalling 80 MW of capacity. These power stations are fueled by wood residue and one is located in Livermore Falls, and in Ashland, Maine. The purchase price for these power stations is US$27 million. With this acquisition, Boralex will become the most important producer of electricity from wood residue in North America. The Corporation's total installed capacity will reach approximately 300 MW.
