Princess Anne freshman Ashley Hay knows what it's like to go to the state tournament in field hockey. She'd like to experience the same in soccer.

Her Cavaliers are halfway there. Second-seeded Princess Anne earned a spot in the Eastern Region tournament by defeating third-seeded Kempsville 4-1 in Wednesday's Beach District tournament semifinals at the Sportsplex.

Hay scored the Cavaliers' first two goals and senior Jen Schaffer the last two to send Princess Anne back to regionals for the fifth consecutive year.
