_Botanical name: Phygelius x rectus
_Attributes: An outstanding tropical shrub with red, pink or yellow pendulous trumpet flowers resembling snapdragons or foxgloves.
_Bloom time: Mid-May until frost.
_Cultivars: ``Moonraker'' _ pale yellow flowers with darker yellow lobes. ``Trewidden Pink'' _ soft pink with contrasting rose throat.
_Culture: Purchase blooming plants around May 1, provide full sun and plant into back of borders, add to baskets or planters using a fresh soil-less mix. Plant with other blooming plants, add a slow release fertilizer, such as 14-14-14, and water thoroughly as needed. Remove old blooms to encourage new ...
