Successful PDA maker Handspring's new $399 Visor Edge is a striking piece of industrial design. The Visor Edge is Handspring's thinnest handheld yet and has a sleek metallic shell that calls to mind Apple's titanium-cased PowerBook G4. The unit competes directly with the popular Palm V series.
Available in silver, blue, and red, the Visor Edge has a matching metal flip lid. This Visor is about half the thickness of and a half-ounce lighter than the original Visor design, although it's still slightly larger and heavier than the Palm V.
