Western Union Introduces EDI Service
Western Union Corporation has introduced its Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) service. With this new service, Western Union is providing the first truly integrated architecture for both EDI and electronic mail.
According to Martin A. Weiss, Western Union's product line manager for EDI services, industry experts agree that electronic mail provides the best platform for handling not only textual messages and binary files, but also EDI transactions.
