May 25--A tourism tug-of-war is under way in downtown Oklahoma City. City convention planners say two upscale hotels are charging high prices, driving away business that the remodeled Myriad Convention Center is designed to attract.
But downtown convention hotel spokesmen say they've got a quality product and quality costs.
That leaves budget-minded meeting planners telling Christine Wise they are frustrated. They hear about ample rooms and low prices in Oklahoma City, then find out otherwise.
