SA'S FALL SHOWS: CIVILIZED BLASS, SNAPPY JACOBS
NEW YORK -- It was an inauspicious beginning. Bill Blass began the day with a too-Civilized collection and a crowd scene that was Ferocious. Carolina Herrera followed with clothes that added years even to the mannequins on the runway. And Marc Jacobs proved he could put the snap and crackle into Perry Ellis if not the pop.
