The California Highway Patrol will observe its 60th anniversary with a commemorative celebration at the CHP Academy in West Sacramento beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 14.

The keynote address will be delivered by Gov. George Deukmejian. Other speakers include U.S. Rep. Robert Matsui (D-Sacramento), Sen. Bill Campbell (R-Hacienda Heights), Tom Noble, president of the California Association of Highway Patrolmen and CHP Commissioner Maury Hannigan.
