As the Stanley Cup Championship heats up, a new Scarborough Sports Marketing study reveals that Detroit; Buffalo, N.Y.; and Denver lead the nation with the highest percent of loyal National Hockey League (NHL) fans.

Having won the Stanley Cup two years in a row (1997 and 1998) and consistently putting together a quality team, Detroit has the highest concentration of loyal fans (43 percent), followed by Buffalo (39 percent) and Denver (33 percent) - home of the 2001 Western Conference Champions and Stanley Cup finalists, the Colorado Avalanches.
