ROCKY MOUNT UNDERGARMENT ANNOUNCES SECOND QUARTER RESULTS
AND NEW PRODUCT LINES
ROCKY MOUNT, N.C., Aug. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Rocky Mount Undergarment Co., Inc. (NASDAQ: RMUC) today announced profitable results for the second quarter and six months ended July 2, 1989. The sale of the Company's Menswear Division on June 9, 1989 contributed $1,835,000 to earnings with no tax impact due to the availability of tax loss carryforwards.
Rocky Mount has used a part of the proceeds of the Menswear Division sale to eliminate its debt to its factor. The balance of the proceeds of sale will be used to expand ongoing operations, ...
