ASUNCION, May 31 Asia Pulse - Taiwan President Chen Shui-bian called for the opening of dialogue between Taiwan and mainland China Wednesday and urged the United States to support Taiwan in its bid to join international organizations.
Chen, who is currently visiting Panama, made the statements in an interview carried by the ABC Color daily newspaper, and touched on issues ranging from relations between Taiwan and mainland China to two-way ties between Taipei and Asuncion.
